Driving up to Washington state with seven other people in a small loser cruiser (aka mini van) is something I know about. Sitting in a car for nine hours for three days with your family can be pretty gross, as in not something you wanna do. I wanted to jump out of the window a few times because it was something to do other than sit down or throw things at other people in the car but the drive didn’t last forever. Road trips with your family can be intense, especially if there are two babies who think crying all the time is acceptable and a thirteen year old who you chuck out the car.
Things to do on a road trip are hard to find. Phones get boring, the alphabet game gets boring, music gets boring, your legs get stiff, you need to go to the bathroom and you get hungry. But you can’t exactly get up and get food or stretch and run around (then again who just runs around) and do what you want. But what I do is just Listen to music, annoy other people in the car, stare out the window and think deep thoughts like how the word butter was invented, text friends, post that I’m bored on snapchat or instagram, play games and get mad because I’m not good at them, eat food and repeat. But most of the time i play the game look outside the window.
The car we are in is a black mini van that is full of people and noise and food rappers and trash including everyone in it (just kidding but not at the same time). I call it the loser cruiser, because what person other than a soccer mom who carpools or a really weird person is stoked to have a mini van. Nobody I hope. The car is very cramped and there isn't much room to do much or room to have space from the person next to you.
Rest stops are like heaven. You can run away from the loser cruiser and all the losers in it and stretch and walk around and all the fun things you can’t do in the car. Like listen to something else than crying babies or complaining people (including me don’t worry) or beg your mom to buy In-n-Out or some yummy food like Urbane. Rest stops can be fun, but only if the town or whatever you're stopped at, and I know that for sure. If you're stopped at a gas station then it's pretty boring, but if you're at park with a slide than your pretty much set.
I know how it feels to be in a loser cruiser with my mom, dad, grandma, sister and baby brother and sister who are screaming for something they want because I'm holding it for nine hours for three days in a row. I know i made it seem really horrible but that’s because if I made it happy I wouldn’t have much to write about. Road trips are fun but can be aggressive, That is what I know.
